we certainly DO have the right to scream "Fire!!" in a crowded theater.... Especially if there is a fire :-) Michael P. Consider this. Every country *already* has censorship rules. For example, child pornogaphy is censored everywhere. It "goes too far" and "should be blocked". I think most people agree on this.
Technically, that's not true. It isn't "censored" so much as it is considered a by-product of a crime, contraband. Harm is done to another human, a person's rights are violated. That is why child porn is "censored". The way - in the PAST - the supremes in US allow for any kind of cencorship is when it does HARM to another person's rights. Our Constitution doesn't say what we are allowed to do - it says what the government is allowed to do. In theory, we can do anything we want so long as we don't do harm to another - violate another's rights. You don't have the right to scream "Fire!" in an occupied theater. Your rights end at the tip of my nose...etc.. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
