But you said that. So I replied to it. There isn't any netiquette law that
says that if you reply to somebody on a *public* list, *only* that person

religion, so I gave you 3 fairly well known examples.

To answer your last question, no, I'm not clear. I have a headache now
- to be sure. Here, again, is another posting - this one YOU made, in
response to a message I did send asking why you felt compelled to
answer someone else's question (when I was repeating the question for
the very fact that THEY were avoiding it):

Thanks for responding to someone else's question - did your filter
fail? Was my signature somehow not in that e-mail?

Odd.. Looked like your question to me. Quoted material follows, with
*original* citation marks etc as they arrived here:<end of message>

Not that those two quoted lines, lines you quoted, were my ONLY
remarks directed at you in this entire thread. But, wow, I feel like
an idiot explaining this...

I will say that you failed to name any religions, save one, that have
an issue with killing. Christians and Jews (and Muslims obviously) all
believe in self defense. "An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" is old
testament, revenge crap and nothing to do with self-defense. I believe
there's a passage on self-defense in the new testament, somewhere
around the story of JC being taken by the romans (a guard loses an
ear)...

As for the one religion you named which MIGHT have an issue with
killing, I think you're misconstruing their belief system - or at
least parts of it (I work with two types of Buddhists so I should just
ask one of them) but the historical facts are that they were fighting
with invading Muslims for a very long time - killing lots of them.
