RE: WHOIS Privacy Stalemate... Again

Obviously there are lots of people who aren't bothered by the potential
for spamming and other frauds (like the postal mail scams about renewing
your domain). That's OK, I can appreciate that you're all a  bunch of
defeatists. But whois information is such a fraud what's the point?
Especially with a postal mail contact. Have any of you ever contacted a
domain registrant by postal mail for any legitimate reason?
