That's what it probably was BEFORE your gun ban. Big deal - who cares?

No, they DO carry guns when the rob you in the UK - you should maybe
visit the actual Home Office web site, and the real reports they have
there.

They also have MANY more HOT burglaries - and when the resident is
aware of the burglary it leads to violence over 50% of the time (going
on memory here, but I already posted the link to the report for your
verification).
