You forgot Lend-Lease or the hundreds of US merchant seamen who lost
their lives running the U-Boat gauntlet before Pearl Harbor, never mind
the thousands afterwards. Britain would have starved, frozen to death,
and had no fuel for its planes or ammunition long before D-Day without
it. 

Funny how those who were there universally thanked the US for saving
them, even to the point of France sending a boxcar of gifts on a train
to every state in the union. Funny how the Polish, Czechs and other
former Comecon countries are the most capitalist in the EU.

It's only those who either are, or have been brainwashed by, the KGB
planted fifth column (who were deliberately placed in the newsmedia and
third level education) from the cold war who spout the sort of
revisionist nonsense David has below.

I guess if you are one of the "Ecotopia" desiring "Deep ecologists" a UK
forced back to being an agrarian island with German dominance of the
North Atlantic and a fortress Europe might be something you yearn for.

Will those who love socialism PLEASE move to Cuba or Venezuela!
